The NIA
V-Line accepts data input and power from the Vasotrac APM205A (version 7.13
software or greater), then generates an analog pressure signal. That signal is
then fed to one invasive blood pressure (IBP) arterial channel of another
monitor.
The NIA
V-Line Interface Package generates an analog signal that is interpreted by the
IBP monitor as if it were an Arterial Line Pressure Transducer signal in the
patient's artery.
The NIA
V-Line hardware consists of the following major components: -Analog/Digital
processing board packaged in a plastic case. -Interface cable to Vasotrac
-Interface cable to an IBP channel of a patient monitor - RJ11 disposable
style connector is used.
The NIA
V-Line device is designed using the following standards as guidelines for
product development.
American Association of Medical Instrumentation (ANSI/AAMISPI0A-1996)
Standards for Electronic and Automated Sphygmomanometers
UL 2601-1 Medical Electrical Equipment, Part 1: General Requirements for
Safety
EN 60601-1 European Standard Medical Electrical
Equipment
IEC601-1 Medical Electrical Equipment, General
Requirements for Safety.
The NIA
V-Line requires calibration on an annual basis. Calibration Service and
Certification for the NIA V-Line is available through the Medwave Technical
Support and Service Department and is competitively priced. Most calibrations
can be turned around in three to five days. Think your NIA V-Line requires
